We welcome visitors to our Tuesday evening Practices and to the Service Ringing on Sunday mornings. Changes to usual ringing arrangements are given below.

Access to the Cathedral during the coming few weeks:
Please note that from week commencing 2nd October and for the following few weeks there will be scaffolding on the inside of the Cathedral's west elevation and that access will be via Prebendal House. On Tuesday evenings in particular, please be patient after ringing the west-entrance doorbell as it will take longer to open the Prebendal House door than the West entrance door. No need to ring more than once!

Sunday 8th October 2018
The annual Legal Service is at 11am. There is no 9:00am Service that day so ringing can start at 10:00am prompt. Please make an effort to be there on time!

Be aware, too, that there will be Police security in operation for this service and that there might be a slight delay in ringers gaining access to Cathedral.

Email received after the Peal:
"I have just got home from Welcoming at the Cathedral this afternoon. The sound of the bells ringing out as I arrived at 2:00 pm was just fantastic. The sound then continued for the whole time I was there. We had the doors wide open and so many visitors came to ask about the bells. There were twelve or more young Chinese girls came because they heard the bells. They are attending the summer school at Cardiff Met. University and are staying in the student accommodation opposite the BBC. It was so busy with visitors that I stayed on duty until 4:45 pm.

Please pass on my thanks and congratulations to the bell ringers involved. It really enhanced my afternoon and obviously gave great pleasure to our visitors. You must all be exhausted now, I don’t know how you did that for so long."
